David Stanford

David has over 34 years of experience in the commercial construction industry and serves as the Director of Commercial Services for InterCon Building Company. He is true builder using his expertise to assemble a team to construct and execute a building plan to create a product that both InterCon and the client can take pride in. David’s impressive portfolio is filled with challenging projects ranging from a six-thousand seat worship center to the smallest of corporate interior projects for clients throughout the Southeast such as: Publix, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Parker Poe, Adams, Bernstein LLP., Johnson Allison & Hord, LLP., Bradley LLP., Cardinal Innovations Healthcare, BGW CPA’s and Charlotte Montessori School. In addition to Corporate Interior work, David has completed Sports & Fitness projects for clients such as: The Greater YMCA of Charlotte (24+ YMCA’s) UNC-Charlotte Baseball Stadium, Myers Park Country Club, Providence Country Club, Pine Lake Country Club and Piper Glen Club.

David is a Licensed General Contractor in North Carolina and obtained a Bachelor of Engineering Technology and Civil Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He is a Charlotte native and has a passion to serve his community through his involvement with his Church. He has served as a board member of the UNC Charlotte Athletic Association, Presbyterian Samaritan Counseling Center, Gateway YMCA and currently serves as an elder at his church, Sharon Presbyterian Church. In his spare time, you can most likely find David on the golf course, in his woodworking shop or with his wife, Sonya and two daughters enjoying the SC Coast!
